Online Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

September 9th, 2017 at 14:25
  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly offer one of these. You typically lay a bet ($1 is the normal value) to try to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Although big jackpots like this are extremely appealing, they are also very hard to succeed. You would need to hit a Royal Flush in order to win this wager. Also, imagine this- you wager twenty hands and make the side bet every time. That’s 20 dollars you could have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a bet with greater odds employing that 20 dollars.
  • Individual number wagers in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This takes the complete casino advantage from 2% with a single zero wheel to a whopping fivepercent in American. The one number bet has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers alternately which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you bet on it, the casino edge can be a huge twenty-five percent. No, that was not a typo. Due to the huge amount of numbers you have to choose, it isn’t recommended to bet on Keno to often. A few times for entertainment, perhaps. But don’t spend all your money on it or you will quickly discover yourself bankrupt.
